I’ve neglected this site for too long it seems—I’ve been busy and up to all kinds of new projects and endeavors since the time this site was first made. I still get a lot of messages here though, some good and some not so good. The number of those messages has gone up dramatically since the nationwide shut-down, so now is the time to speak up and answer some questions!
I am still writing, though I haven’t shared anything in a long while. I haven’t spoken to Shannon Agofsky in nearly three years—not a call, not a letter. I have no plans to reopen that project at this moment in time, but I don’t consider it fully closed either. Time will tell.
On to Southern Grimoire, the podcast! It will be back online at some point. I am switching platforms, and just haven’t chosen a site or gone to the trouble of re-uploading everything. I love my podcast, I love making it, and I love connecting people through stories—but to be perfectly blunt, it’s incredibly time consuming and it doesn’t pay any bills. Which leads to—
What have I been up to lately? Something that does pay my bills! I design and hand-make jewelry and art from real preserved insects, bones, and crystals. Art makes me happy and people don’t send me death-threats or call me a white-trash Agofsky slut for playing with butterflies. I don’t get hate mail for moths. So if you feel so inclined, follow my art on Facebook and Instagram—just search Southern Grimoire! I’m just a woman trying to make something beautiful in a world I don’t understand.
